Deconditioning via Human Design
June 12, 2015The first thing you will notice when you begin your journey with Human Design is how much conditioning has impacted your decision-making throughout your life. This is a natural first step towards recognizing how much you are influenced by others.
In Human Design (HD) terms, conditioning happens in the “open” centers and channels in your body graph. These are the areas without color. Those with color are referred to as “defined”. What this represents is your genetic blueprint, the energy available to you. The defined areas are where you have access to consistent energy. What you can rely on. You can also easily recognize these parts of yourself.
The Open Centers
The open centers are where you have inconsistent energy available to you. In many ways you will recognize this as well, especially once you see it through the HD lens.
On a deep level we already know this about ourselves. In very unconscious ways, we try to make up for this inconsistency. For instance, you decide you need to start an exercise regime and you take up jogging. It goes well for some small period of time and then you simply can’t keep making yourself do it. Meanwhile you see other people who can keep up the habit. You feel like a loser. At this point, you most likely either dig in deeper and really suffer while you push yourself to go jogging. Or you let it go, in the form of apathy, defeat, and self-loathing.
If you could see the chart of the consistent runner, you would see that they have energy available to them in an area you don’t have. You don’t have to force yourself to jog everyday. You can do it when you want and stop judging yourself for not doing it when you don’t have the energy for it. What this also means is that there is something that suits you better.
You already know these things about yourself. This is simply an affirmation empowering you to follow your truth and stop comparing yourself to others.
Deconditioning Begins…
Deconditioning is the process of recognizing the areas of your life where you are out of tune, so to speak. The moments of your life where your frequency becomes more chaotic rather than harmonious. The actions you take where you encounter a lot of resistance from life lead to frustration, anger, bitterness, or disappointment.
The inconsistency of the energy moving through the open centers causes us to feel like something is lacking within. The mind thinks we must make up for this lack, when it recognizes the inconsistency. We then have a tendency to go way overboard in these areas of life.
Having the map of my personal energy has helped me stop trying to “jog” or push myself in incorrect ways. I can now see that I don’t have energy for these things. My mind leads me to suffer by thinking that I should have energy for everything. This also creates a chaotic frequency in my aura when I am pushing.
So I simply stop doing certain things. Because I recognize I am pushing myself in the wrong directions, when I keep meeting resistance every time I behave a certain way or make the same choice.
